Damgroove - Gemade (Video) (Melt)

Another track from the 1st album and probably my personal favourite, it’s got an ambient vibe about it with my signature bass drum making an appearance, with the video I attempted to synchronise the actual sound of the waves with the music, gives it that balearic feel.

This is one of the strangest tracks I have made, it’s a wierd kind of glitchy affair with an obsurdly high amount of sub bass in there. I tried to add as many samples in there as possible, I love working with monotonous beats as the challenge is to try and keep it interesting and this certainly is monotonous. Dust Junkys - Beatbox Wash (Damgroove Remix)

The original track was released in 1995, I had the acapella so I gave it a remix, the acapella was also sampled on Fatboy Slim’s ‘Gangsta Trippin’ so I included a sample of this in there too a show of respect. My remix also samples TI’s ‘You Know What It Is’. This was actually the first track I had played on radio in the UK as Nikki Elise of Kiss FM played it regulary on her daytime show so it’s always gonna have a place in my heart.

This is another track from the album which brought out the dark side to my productions. There is a nice little twist at the end in the video.

Nalin and Kane - Beachball (Damgroove Remix) (Video)

The original has to be one of my favourite tunes of all time, I will never tire of listening to it. I remember at the time it was revolutionary to have a track with actual sounds of waves blasting out in the clubs. I wanted to give the remix a complete tranformation but still keep that baleric vibe to it so I made a chilled out version ideal for those Ibiza beaches.

Faithless & Zoe Johnston - Crazy English Summer (Damgroove Remix) (Video)

When I saw this live I was amazed, it had so much emotion. I sampled their live performance at ‘The Wireless’ in 2001. I basically sample the video that is used here. It’s a glitchy affair but it’s all about the breakdown for me, all that energy and atmosphere.

Jean Luc Ponty - Good Guys Bad Guys (Damgroove Remix)

This remix came about through my Dad, he gave me his music collection and asked me to pick some tracks to remix. I instantly fell in love with this track which was originally released in 1980, the violins sounded great and it was such a funky little track I had to do something. I speeded the original up and added extra percussion and a couple of synths, again I didnt want to lose the melody of the track. It actually got featured on Youtube’s official playlist for Jean Luc Ponty, which delighted my Dad.

Radiohead - Reckoner (Damgroove Remix) (Video)

Certainly one of my most played tracks on Soundcloud with nearly 25000 plays and nearly 2000 downloads. I wanted to give it a deep Prodigy kind of sound with my signature bass drum being used, but I didnt want to take anything away from the original. The video was recorded at ‘The Basement’
